A delegation from the Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College, University of Macau, recently embarked on a six-day trip to Shanghai to strengthen educational exchanges with the College of Economics and Management (CEM) at East China Normal University (ECNU) and Ren Zhong College at Fudan University. This visit was conducted with the guidance and support of ECNU, Fudan, and UM. The delegation, led by Dr. Andrew LAO, consisted of 12 students who visited the two universities, companies, and industrial parks in Shanghai.
During their visit, the delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with students and faculty members at ECNU and Fudan. The dialogue centred on the introduction, experience, and sharing of projects, providing valuable insights into the educational development of residential colleges. The delegation also had the opportunity to tour the universities’ campuses, where they were impressed by the academic achievements and research facilities.
In addition to visiting the universities, the delegation also visited several companies and industrial parks in Shanghai, including Zi Zhu Park, ICBC, PwC, and Yihai Kerry Investments. These visits provided the delegation with a better understanding of the latest developments in various industries, including finance, technology, manufacturing, and food and beverage.
The delegation’s visit to Shanghai has undoubtedly enriched their knowledge and insights and has strengthened educational development between Macau and Shanghai. This visit is expected to yield positive outcomes in future collaborations between the universities.
