Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College successfully held the first Master Dinner of current semester on 1 March 2018. It’s our honour to have Prof. Richard Almstedt, department Chair for Kinesiology and Dance of the Lone Star College and representatives from Tengfei College of Fudan University.
Lone Star College is the largest institution of higher education in the Houston area, and is a publicly funded, two-year, United States community college. Lone Star College has six campuses and two university centers, student may choose their major according to their future career needs.
Tengfei College is one of colleges in Fudan University. Tengfei College commemorates Fudan’s former school President Dr. Li Denghui. The College allowing students to increase their own academic interest and cultural attainment, as well as practicing their interpersonal communication and social leadership skills, and molding their social responsibility and leadership. The connection between Fudan University Tengfei College and HFPJC has been established since 2014 for exchanging ideas on RC education and service learning. With similar goals in education, both colleges would like to facilitate exchange opportunities among students.
The formal dinner starts with the opening remarks by the College Master Prof. Mok Kai Meng. Follow by the remarks from Prof. Richard Almstedt, he encourages students to find their dream and insist until the dream come true. Mr. Wang Yinmeng, student representative from Tengfei College said, he met many new friends here, who are full of passion and energy and learn a lot from them.
At the end of the dinner, students take photos with guests and fellows to mark this memorable moment.
