As the new semester starts and the Lunar New Year approaches, the “New Year Adventure” event—jointly organized by the College’s Community Service Working Group, National Education Working Group, Communication Working Group, and Resident Assistants—concluded successfully recently to immerse students in a festive atmosphere. Featuring rich folk experiences, fun interactive games and warm surprises, the event offered all participants a joyful and cozy Lunar Year-end carnival.
The venue, adorned with red decorations and lanterns, exuded a strong New Year vibe, creating an instant warm and festive ambiance. The core traditional folk experience area was popular, with activities like glutinous rice ball making, lantern riddle guessing and pipe cleaner crafting. Students gathered to knead dough and wrap fillings, feeling the meaning of reunion from the round rice balls; solved riddles to appreciate Chinese cultural charm; and crafted pipe cleaner works with New Year wishes. This immersive experience deepened their understanding of traditional festival culture.
Meanwhile, the fun game zone was lively, with interactive games such as clay creation, ball rolling challenge and sticky hands. Students participated enthusiastically and cooperated closely, filling the venue with laughter and cheers. The relaxed interactions helped them regain childlike joy, demonstrating the youthful vitality and team spirit of Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College students.
The event’s success was attributed to the careful preparation and dedication of the House Association’s working groups and Resident Assistants. This New Year feast, integrating culture, fun and ritual, let students feel the festive joy and the warmth of the college family, leaving them a healing and unforgettable Lunar Year-end memory.

新學期開始，農歷新年的腳步悄然臨近。爲讓感受濃厚的年節氛圍，近日，由書院Community Service Working Group、National Education Working Group、Communication Working Group及Resident Assistants共同策劃的“新年‘騎’遇記”新年主題活動圓滿落幕。活動以豐富的民俗體驗、趣味的互動遊戲與暖心驚喜，爲全體參與同學打造了一場充滿歡笑與溫情的歲末狂歡。
活動現場年味濃郁，紅色裝飾與燈籠相映成趣，瞬間營造出溫馨喜慶的節日氛圍。核心的傳統民俗體驗區備受青睞，包湯圓、猜字謎、玩扭扭棒等經典活動依次鋪開。同學們圍聚一堂揉麵團、包餡料，在湯圓的圓潤飽滿中感受團圓寓意；絞盡腦汁破解字謎，在文字的巧妙構思中領略中華文化魅力；細心編織扭扭棒，將對新年的美好祝願融入每一寸繩結之中。沉浸式的民俗體驗，讓大家深切感受傳統節日的文化底蘊。
與此同時，趣味遊戲區同樣熱鬧非凡。黏土創作、滾球挑戰、黏小手等互動遊戲輪番上陣，同學們踴躍參與、相互配合，現場歡笑聲、吶喊聲此起彼伏。在輕鬆愉快的遊戲互動中，使大家重拾童真快樂，充分展現了霍英東珍禧書院院生的青春活力與團隊凝聚力。
此次活動的成功舉辦，離不開院生會各工作組、住宿助理的精心籌備與用心付出。這場兼具文化底蘊、趣味互動與儀式感的新年盛宴，讓大家深切感受到了新年的喜慶氛圍與書院大家庭的溫暖，且留下了治癒難忘的歲末回憶。
