Recently, the 16th Student Association of Henry Fok Pearl Jubilee College successfully organised the “Freshmen Icebreaking Program | Youth Assemble GO!” orientation series. Held from August 15 to 16, the well-designed activities provided a valuable platform for new students to integrate into university life and build friendships. The entire orientation program concluded in a warm and lively atmosphere.

On the evening of August 15, the campus exploration activity kicked off the event. Freshmen gathered at the college and, in small groups, explored the campus by visiting designated checkpoints and completing specific tasks. This fun and interactive format helped students familiarise themselves with their future learning environment while fostering teamwork and mutual understanding.

On the morning of August 16, “The First Lecture of HFPJC” offered an in-depth introduction to the college’s culture and spirit. Professor Stanley Hui, College Master of the College, Dr. Vivian Jiang, Associate Master, along with college resident fellows Dr. Andrew Lao and Ms. Sara Chang, and all student leaders attended the session. Professor Hui shared the college’s mission and vision, showcasing the community’s cohesion and legacy. Following this, the “Academic Path: Course Selection Exchange” addressed common concerns about course registration, offering practical advice and face-to-face Q&A to help students plan their academic journey.

In the afternoon, the “Beach & Freshmen Exchange” brought the orientation atmosphere to a climax. In a relaxed and joyful setting, freshmen engaged in lively conversations, forming their first friendships at university and infusing the new semester with warmth and anticipation.

This orientation not only eased the anxiety and unfamiliarity of entering university but also highlighted the college’s community values of unity, friendship, positivity, and inclusiveness. It laid a solid foundation for the Class of 2025’s university journey. Many freshmen expressed that the activities gave them confidence and excitement for the life ahead.

霍英東珍禧書院2025迎新活動圓滿舉行 新生攜手開啟大學新篇章

近日，霍英東珍禧書院第十六屆院生會成功舉辦「新生破冰計劃｜青春集結GO!」系列迎新活動。8月15日至16日，多項精心設計的活動陸續開展，為新生提供了融入大學生活、建立友誼的寶貴平台，整個迎新計劃在熱烈氛圍中圓滿落下帷幕。

8月15日晚，校園定向活動率先舉行，新生們在書院集合，以小組形式探索校園環境，透過到訪打卡點及完成指定動作，以趣味方式熟悉未來學習生活的空間，也在協作中增進了彼此了解。

16日上午，「院長第一課」為新生帶來書院文化與精神的深度解讀，書院院長許世全教授、副院長蔣怡博士、書院導師劉振釗博士、曾結萍女士及一眾學生領袖出席，許教授向新生們介紹書院使命及理念，展示了書院社群的凝聚力與傳承。緊接著的「學術之路：選課交流會」針對新生普遍關注的選課問題提供了實用建議和面對面答疑，助力同學們做好學業規劃。

當日下午舉辦的「灘火飄香·新生交流升溫局」將整個迎新氛圍推向高潮。新生們在輕鬆愉快的環境中暢談交流，建立起入學後的第一份友誼，也為新學期注入了溫暖與期待。

此次迎新活動不僅有效緩解了新生初入大學的陌生與焦慮，更展現了霍英東珍禮書院團結、友愛、積極、包容的社區文化，為2025級新生的大學之旅奠定了堅實的基礎。新生們普遍表示，通過活動他們對即將開始的大學生活充滿了信心和期待。
