The intention of the RC experience for students is to broaden their outlook and engage them in areas other than their single academic discipline. The kind of learning we undertake in the RC is by doing, by experiencing, not simply reading text books or passing tests.
To help students reach their goals and understand what College life is about we have organized activities in to five different experiential areas we call the Five RC Competencies. Your College experiences and involvement should cut across all of these Competencies. This section of the Handbook will help you to understand them.
